Just finished the book

Dear Stuart!

I just finished your book after a few hours of intensive reading. Thanks so much for sharing your story. When I was in on the Amazon site ordering the book I had read the reviews, especially noticing the ones placed there by your "family members". I knew I had to read the book!

I am an American citizen and have lived in Sweden for 20 years. I am also a divorced gay man and former ordained baptist minister leaving my church three years ago when I came out and allowed myself to start on the road to finding my way as a gay christian man.

Of course I had resigned myself to the thought of a afterlife in hell. However God hadn't given up on me! When I was being persecuted by well meaning "brothers and sisters" bombarded by telephone calls, prayer coups (being cornered when I was picking up my kids), being publicly embarrassed etc...I never, even once, felt any condemnation from God. People, including my former friends, were saying that they had given me over to satan for the destruction of the flesh (whatever that means???) and that I was under the judgment of God. At the same time I was thinking of the peace and joy that I was truly feeling as I was no longer hiding a part of me. I was out. Judged by man and loved by God.

I am glad that you made it through it all. How are things going now for you? Any improvements?
