Dear Family,
As I read the above words, I could not help but notice their similarity to words we hear today aimed toward gay and lesbian people. This literally sent chills up my spine. Yet I will not give up hope that somehow, by the perfect grace of God, we will learn from the past and therefore, heal the present. By letting go of hate, no matter what form it may come in and allowing all obstacles to peace that stand between us to be gently removed, we are then truly doing "the work of the Lord".
God is for (all of) us. Therefore, no one can be against us. Love will prevail.
