Well as the "dreaded" sister in law, I must respond to this post. Yes... of course we still love Stuart, how ridiculous to think we wouldn't. You state that love does not condemn.. hmm. thats all I see in Stuart's book. This certainly was not a way of "healing', but another manipulative tool used to help someone rid themselves of guilt. I was there and know what went on. I have seen the way things can be twisted to suit one's own purpose. Stuart is a master at this. I have NEVER thought less of Stuart for being gay. He knows that. I do have a problem with a son who finds it necessary to blast his entire family to make himself feel better. You also say that our comments must be very painful? Oh please! Have you read the book? Talk about painful. The lack of disrespect I see for his mother alone is as heartbreaking as a mother would ever want to read. So I am sorry I cant feel sorry for a ungrateful child whose whole basis for blame seems to rest on having to wear cheap tennis shoes. It's called the blame game and like I said in my review I wasn't fooled for a minute. Barbara
