Hi Abby,
Please call me Brian. Someone says Mr. Cordova and I immediatly begin looking for my father.
As I mentioned previously, I realize that I only have "one side of the story". But I must say that you and your sister-in-law's anger and defensiveness seem to demonstrate very well that at least most of what Stuart wrote was true. Even in writing our actions speak louder than our words. Could you tell me what parts of Stuart's book are incorrect?
If you truly want to pray for what is best for Stuart, try praying in those words. Do not tell God what is best for Stuart or anyone as He knows much better than we do. In reality, none of us have the complete picture of anything, including our own being, so it is impossible to make a true judgement. God however has the complete picture, so you might try trusting Him instead of telling Him what He needs to do.
Is it possible that the only hurt that your family has experienced is not from Stuart's book itself, but from the fact that light has been shown on what you all are doing, and you are now having to question the possiblity that "emotional blackmail" is not God's Will at all? Just a thought.
Healing begins within. We can't hope to heal another until our own need for healing is recognized.
You and your family remain in my thoughts and prayers.
In Light, Brian:-)
