Hi Linda,
And thank you for your kind heart.
I understand what you say as I am from a fundamentalist Christian background and I firmly believe all you say is based on truth. And no, we don't have it but yet, we do. Only when we remember who we truly are in God are we able to begin to understand truth. Yet we must walk past the surface of all that we have ever been taught. There is a deeper spiritual meaning waiting for all of us. And God's Word is not limited to any "holy book". His Word is on our hearts.
I am a gay man of whom is very thankful for this life lesson. I have learned much in my lifetime (I will be 41 in two weeks). I believe the most important lesson that I have learned is the power of love, and it's ability to transcend any situation. No, being gay is not the easiest life as is being black or being jewish not so easy either, but life isn't always meant to be easy. We are here to learn and learning is not always easy. Yet learning is worthwhile as that is how we heal. When we can walk past our so-called differences, we will learn that we truly are the same. We will know that all are one in (the) Christ. The Second Coming is nothing more than the return of sense.
We don't need to understand each other to receive one another. All that is nessisary is that we remember the one goal that we are working toward. We all want to be happy. We all want to be complete. And together, we will be, as, we are.
Thank you for the dialog.
Your Brother, Brian:-)
