Encouraging and Courageous!!!

I purchased and read your book yesterday and found it quite an encouragement. As a Gay Christian who was involved in an "ex-gay" ministry for three years and in "reparative therapy" for two and a half years, I have recently come to the realization that God loves and accepts me just as I am. There is no need to try and change one's sexual orientation. I was struck at how similar our fathers are. Even though I have yet to come out to my father, our relationship is also estranged. He is a self-proclaimed minister without any sort of formal theological training, who communicates with his children by sermonizing and quoting scripture.

I truly admired the tact and courage you displayed in response to the onslaught of bigotry and ignorance hurled against you. You were so blessed to have such a wonderful support network of friends and co-workers. Thank you for sharing your experience. May God Bless!!
